Learn how to install Kankan Tools on your system.

Installation Methods

Method 1: Official Website (Recommended)

1. Visit the Download page
2. Select your platform
3. Download the installer
4. Run the installer and follow the prompts

Method 2: GitHub Releases

1. Visit our GitHub Releases page
2. Find the latest release
3. Download the appropriate file for your platform
4. Run the installer

Post-Installation

First Run Setup

On first launch, Kankan Tools will:

1. Create necessary configuration files
2. Download AI models (if needed)
3. Set up the default workspace

Configuration

You can configure Kankan Tools in the Settings menu:

• Language - Choose between Chinese and English
• Theme - Light or dark mode
• Default Output Path - Where to save processed files
• AI Model - Select preferred AI models

Troubleshooting

Windows: "Windows protected your PC"

1. Click "More info"
2. Click "Run anyway"

macOS: "App is damaged and can't be opened"

1. Open Terminal
2. Run: xattr -cr /Applications/Kankan\ Tools.app
3. Try opening the app again

Linux: Permission denied

chmod +x kankan-tools
./kankan-tools

Uninstallation

Windows

1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
2. Find "Kankan Tools"
3. Click Uninstall

macOS

1. Open Applications folder
2. Right-click "Kankan Tools"
3. Select "Move to Trash"
